• Very strong El Nino in full flight but impacts limited so far

• Some pushback from El Nino in September with more high pressure temporarily

• Return to increased troughing and volatility as spring progresses with rapid bursts of heat

• Greater than average thunderstorm risk, especially October to December

• Likely average to above average rainfall from November through to January though with a

bias to the interior as troughs dominate the inland regions
