Excellent start to winter with useful rain for almost all districts, topping up what already fell through a good May
Good soil moisture profile going into a drying trend as we approach late winter allowing for some reserves when times get tough
El Nino likely to be strong to very strong and will rapidly develop but major impacts more likely over QLD, NSW and to an extent VIC than SA and even less WA which is normal
Positive IOD likely from late winter and More so through spring with rapid warming likely
Second half of June likely to be drier than the first half although some fronts still expected
