May 2nd Update

• El Nino and Positive IOD will increase the drying trend through winter and into spring

• Small window for now for first half of May for some rainfall

• Larger highs with fewer systems through winter although fronts will potentially be stronger

when they do come

• Increased frost risk from June onwards

• Rapid warming in early spring or even from late winter with windy, predominantly dry

systems
