  • Handy rainfall over the coming week for most districts although some small holes out east of the ranges

  • Heavy falls with flash flooding possible in areas already wet from early autumn heavy rains

  • Small hail possible in strongest cores over the West Coast, Eyre Peninsula and NW Pastoral

  • El Nino still setting up and likely to be very strong but window of moisture still remains for now

  • Drying trend through later winter and spring as EL Nino and Positive IOD begin to impact more significantly

  • Outlook for winter broadly is average to below average rainfall with increasing frost later on. June or July likely the best of the months at this stage but more on that with the June outlook
